This is story about a young boy named Travis that comes face to face with the harsh reality of protesting, homeless veterans, and disrespect to our flag. His journey with his father teaches him how to handle these and other circumstances he encounters now and may encounter in the future. The story ends with paying homage to our military and our fallen soldiers whom have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Written by an Army & Air Force Veteran, this book delivers a powerful message to its readers, old or young. This is THE must have book for all Americans.

I just received my copy today (Veterans Day) and already read it to my youngest son. I love that it made him ask quest6ions and talk about the flag. This was something very much needed for all of our children. I’ll definitely be reading it to the rest of my kids, my grandson and all future grandchildren. Thank you for your service, Travis. Thank you for showing us the importance of respect and honor, and for keeping the memory of those that made the ultimate sacrifice, alive.

Loved the story, awesome message, loved the tribute to soldiers. The dedication in the back to fallen soldiers brought tears to my eyes. And the option to send a letter and photo to a military member in the back is an awesome idea.
5.0 out of 5 stars Please take the time to read this little book —- it is well worth the few minutes to read.
I am so glad that a friend of mine told me about this book. It was written by his friend. I got copies for my grandsons. Read today and as a Mom and Mimi need to say that at this time, this little book should be read by everyone, not just children. It is wonderful and the words in it need to be remembered and committed to ones heart. Thank you for your words and God bless you and the United States of America and God bless our men and women that fight for our way of life each and every day.
This is a kids book. It’s got a good message and color pictures to keep kids interested. More importantly it’s got a message that seems to be slipping away in our current social media obesssed society. It would be great to see a book like this read on some story time events that libraries have.
